Sega is written and directed by debutant Anjana, an assistant of Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film has Tollywood actors Nani and Bindu Madhavi as the lead faces along with Karthik Kumar and Nithya Menon. The film is produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon in Tamil and by Ashok Vallabaneni in Telugu.

Cast: Nani,Nithya Menon,Karthik Kumar,Bindu Madhavi
Director: Anjana
Producer: Gautham Menon
Music Director: Joshua Sridhar
Release Date: 29 Jul 2011
Genre: Action – Romance

Story:

Karthik (Nani) and Vishnu (Karthik Kumar) are two friends. They both are from a poor background. The elder brotherof  Karthik,  Balaji (Muthukumar) takes a lot of care on his sibling .There is Revathy (Nithya Menon), who loves Karthik. Then Vishnu bumps into Vani (Bindhu Madhavi), a sex worker, and for him it's love at first sight. Their romance track, accompanied by the song Oka devatha is possibly among the best moments of the film. Mean while Kathik's father is a pimp in that area and he deals with drug dealers. Karthik  for freeing Vani, makes a deal with his father for a drug deal. Here starts their problems and how Karhik comes out of them is the story.

PERFORMANCES:
Nani has done well in the film, he has performed well in his limits. Bindu madhavi was also good in her role. Nithya has a small role and she too had done well along with Karthik  kumar.
The music of Joshua Sridhar is nice and three tracks of the film are nice. Background is also good.
Anjana's story is neither different nor her screenplay is path breaking.
Everything is extremely predictable that makes Sega an uninteresting . Director failed to build the romance and friendship bond which are vital for this subject for the audience to get emotionally attached with it. When Vishnu and Vani love faces a sad end, audience wouldn't feel the pain as the buildup is not good enough.

PLUS POINTS:
  • Music
  • Nani
  • Choreography
MINUS:
  • Story
  • screenplay
  • narration

The film is dragging a bit in the first half and film lacks the sega(heat) in it.

RATING:

FINAL WORD:  Overall, Sega tests your patience, which is not even worth your ticket. The film does not have any heat(Sega) in it.
