For Arjun, money became a priority and the basis for any job he took up.Arjun meets Sameer, a gangster who has been suffering a huge loss as his hookers(prostetutes) have been running away. He immediately assigns Arjun for the job offering him a huge sum and knowing his skills of investigation as an ex-cop in order to find those girls. Priya, a young girl who plays a model in the film, is deeply in love with Arjun. However, he is hesitant to admit it as for him the only thing that matters is money. Thru his investigation, Priya does not understand his hesitance in giving a name to their relationship. While investigating, Arjun realizes that the
girls missing are connected by one cell phone number. He decides that in order to catch the lion one must feed him the lamb. He devises a plan that involves sending a girl to that
particular customer.

Here comes in Reshma (Sulagna Panigrahi)  a young college girl who is into the profession of prostitution in order to feed and support her family. She becomes the innocent prey, and is then sent to the
Antagonists' house, Dheeraj Pandey (Prashant Narayan). The unexpected happens as we reveal that Dheeraj is a serial killer who plays a eunuch in the film. He is a sex addict and hence, decides to brutally murder women.

But as fate has it, thru the journey of investigation, Arjun and Dheeraj cross paths. Arjun gets into a tiff with Dheeraj and they both land up at the police station. Dheeraj being the
sociopath admits to a crime so heinous that even the police gets shocked by his behavior.
Now it's all upto Arjun Bhagwat. He has one night to find some proof in order to keep Dheeraj in jail. He needs to find Reshma because he begins to feel guilty about his plan of sending her as bait. He realizes that Reshma's background is similar to his and hence, feels compassion towards her. Thru his investigation, he meets several people who have had an encounter with this serial killer including his family and a hooker who managed to escape.

Things don't go as planned and Dheeraj leaves the police station as a free bird as there is no evidence against him. Meanwhile, the next victim on his list turns out to be Priya. The road for Arjun is now difficult. Will he be able to gather substantial evidence? Will he find Reshma and save Priya or will it be too late?

Performances

Both Emraan and Prashant Narayanan are top notch. Emraan plays the role of an angry guy to perfection that his can be called as one of his accomplished roles so far. Prashant is dynamic. Jacqueline being bold and sexy grabs a lot of eyeballs for the oomph factor. Her performance is decent. Sulagna Panigrahi is talented.
Yana Gupta sizzles in the opening track

PLUS POINTS:
Taking forward the Murder brand the sequel gives an edge of the seat entertainment. The story is totally new with fresh characters and more bolder and erotic scenes with evil being the key component in the film. The Bhatts choose to make films with totally new cast instead of big stars. This has once proved to be a successful choice.

Director Mohit Suri, had a great responsibility to take ahead the success of Murder, directed by Anurag Basu. A thumps up to him as he with writer Shagufta Rafique has managed to deliver an efficient and stylish story in Murder 2. The varied use of the characters in the plot is what makes the film interesting.
The Bhatts have a good record as far as music is concerned. Murder 2 is no exception. Music is nice.

Loopholes

Murder 2 has drawn some inspiration from the Korean film The Chaser (2008), but honestly it is not a blatant rip-off. Writer Shagufta Rafique has added on her colours and style to the story of Murder 2. The story however stagnates towards the beginning of the second hour.

Over all:

On the whole, Murder 2 is a fine crime story delivered by Bollywood. It lives up to the expectations of the Murder franchise. Infact Murder 2 is more bolder, erotic and has a brilliant story to say
